Stephen J. Eisenberg is a founding member of Eisenberg Personal Injury Lawyers and a longtime Madison attorney. A native of Madison, he has spent his career helping clients in the community where he grew up, studied, and built his practice.
Mr. Eisenberg earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980. He later graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1983.
Since then, he has represented clients in a wide range of case types, including personal injury, car accidents, pedestrian accidents, slip and fall accidents, wrongful death, and criminal defense. His practice has allowed him to stand beside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Beyond his work at the law firm, Mr. Eisenberg has been involved in legal organizations such as the American Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association for Justice, the American Society of Legal Advocates, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Over the years, Mr. Eisenberg has helped clients pursue justice in serious and high-stakes cases. In one notable matter, he secured a $12.7 million jury award for a client who was injured during an incident in a hospital psychiatric ward.
His work has also been recognized by several respected legal organizations. Mr. Eisenberg has received an AV Preeminent peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, a distinction tied to high levels of professional excellence as rated by peers.
He has also been selected to Wisconsin Super Lawyers in multiple years, including 2006-2007 and 2016-2024. Super Lawyers recognition is limited to a small percentage of attorneys in each state.
In addition, Mr. Eisenberg has been included in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 and was named among the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He has also been recognized by America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators.
