St. Mary’s Jury Verdict Of $12.7 million 

A Dane County, Wisconsin personal injury case resulted in a big win for one client of Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. A Dane County jury ordered St. Mary’s Hospital to pay $12.7 million to a Verona man who became paralyzed due to the hospital’s negligence.

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $250,000 – May, 2024

A 14 year old girl was in a crosswalk when she was hit by a motor vehicle. Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. settled the case for the $250,000.00 policy limits of the at-fault driver.

  • Truck Settlement of $3.55 Million – April, 2024

A Verona woman was killed while rendering aid to an individual who had crashed into a ditch. A semi tractor trailer traveling down the road then caused the death of the client. The parties settled the case for $3.55 million.

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $1,000,000 – April, 2024

A Rhinelander man was in a convenience store parking lot walking back to his vehicle located at a gas pump when a work van ran him over. The insurance company for the commercial van argued that the client was at fault for not watching where he was going. The parties ultimately settled for the policy limits of the commercial van’s insurer in the amount of $1,000,000.

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $150,000 – January, 2024

A Wisconsin Rapids man was injured by an off-duty deputy sheriff. Despite the fact that the investigating agency was the off-duty deputy sheriff’s own department and concluded that the client was at fault, Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. investigated the case and determined that the deputies of the sheriff’s department that investigated the case were biased and provided false information as to how the crash occurred. Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. was able to show that the crash was actually the fault of the off-duty police officer. The parties settled for the $150,000 policy limits of the insurer of the off-duty police officer. 

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $250,000 – December, 2023

A Cambridge woman was struck by a vehicle that crossed the center line. The parties settled for the policy limits of $250,000.

  • $225,000 Settlement Against Big Box Store – December, 2023

A Janesville woman was shopping when she tripped over a box that had been left  in the aisle. The parties settled for $225,000.

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $1.25 Million – November, 2023

A Sauk City woman was a passenger in a motor vehicle being driven by her husband when another vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with our client’s vehicle. The woman sustained numerous injuries and required a cervical fusion surgery. The parties settled for the policy limits of $1,250,000. 

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $250,000 – October, 2023

A Mequon man’s vehicle was rear ended by another driver. The parties settled for the $250,000 policy limits of the at-fault driver. 

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $300,000 – August, 2023

A Madison woman’s car was rear ended by another vehicle. She sustained injuries, including a rotator cuff tear. The parties settled for the policy limits of the at-fault driver of $100,000 and an additional $200,000 from the client’s insurance policy that provided underinsured motorist coverage.

  • Dog Bite policy Limit Settlement of $300,000 – August 2023

A Madison woman was bitten on her hand by a neighbor’s dog. She developed complex regional pain syndrome. The parties settled for the policy limits of $300,000 from the dog owner’s homeowners insurance company. 

  • Motorcycle/Car Crash Settlement of $1,250,000 – May, 2023

A Madison man on a motorcycle was hit by a car turning left in front of the motorcycle. The man sustained significant injuries. The case settled three days before trial for the policy limits of $1,250,000. 

  • Jury Verdict of $850,000,000 – May, 2023

A Janesville man stopped his vehicle on the highway to render assistance to another vehicle when he was struck by a passing motorist. A jury rendered a verdict of $850,000 for our injured client. 

  • Settlement of $540,000  – February, 2023

A Madison man was injured when he fell off a third floor apartment balcony after the railing collapsed. Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. hired expert witnesses to determine that the apartment complex negligently maintained the premises and failed to conduct periodic examinations of the apartments decaying wooden balconies and handrails. 

  • Policy Limit Settlement of $250,000 – December, 2022

A Madison woman was rear ended by another motor vehicle. Her physical injuries were minimal but she sustained hearing loss as a result of the loud noise of the crash and the deployment of the air bags. Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. hired and audiologist who conducted hearing tests on the woman and determined that she sustained significant hearing loss in one ear as a result of the crash. The insurance company for the at-fault driver paid its policy limits of $250,000. 

  • Golf Car Crash Settlement of $450,000 – November, 2022

A Madison woman was killed after falling from a golf cart. The woman’s automobile insurance company paid out its $300,000 uninsured motorist policy limits. The driver of the golf cart alleged that his dog may have contributed to the woman falling out of the golf cart. Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. was able to obtain an additional $150,000 policy limit settlement from the driver’s homeowner’s insurance alleging strict liability for the owner of the dog in contributing to the fall from the golf cart. 

  • Semi-Truck/Car Accident Settlement Of $900,000

A Beaver Dam Wisconsin man was traveling on Highway 146 when a semi-truck, traveling southbound rounding a curve, lost control, fishtailed into the man’s lane and collided with his car. The man suffered life threatening injuries and was hospitalized for 4 weeks. Attorney Stephen J. Eisenberg filed a claim against the semi-truck driver’s insurance company. The parties settled the claim for $900,000.00.

  • Settlement Of $560,000 For Man’s Fall From Apartment Balcony

A Deforest Wisconsin man was injured when he fell from a second floor porch as a result of a balcony railing that collapsed. The man sustained an L1 compression fracture and was hospitalized for 5 days at a Beaver Dam Hospital. Attorney Stephen J. Eisenberg discovered that the landlord owned numerous properties in Beaver Dam, all in varying degrees of disrepair. Investigation revealed that the property from which the Deforest man fell had rotting wood on the balcony, a rotting storm door, loose window steps, leaking window installations, open live outlets and broken stairs. The balcony railing was propped up with rotting wood which collapsed when the man leaned against it. Eisenberg convinced the insurance company that its insured was liable under general negligence principals for failing to maintain the property in a safe and reasonable condition. The parties settled for $560,000.00.

Stephen J. Eisenberg recently settled a wrongful death case for $1.35 million. An Iowa County woman was killed in a car accident. She was survived by her husband and three children. The driver of the vehicle in which she was a passenger ran a stop sign and was struck by a milk hauling truck. Investigation revealed that the truck was operating with malfunctioning brakes in violation of numerous federal commercial vehicle regulations.

Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. settled a case in southern Wisconsin involving a repeated intentional sexual assault of a minor. Approximately three months before trial was scheduled to commence, Attorney Stephen J. Eisenberg settled their minor client’s claim for $2.5 million.

A Stoughton, Wisconsin, man was driving his motorcycle home for lunch when a car failed to stop at a stop sign and struck him as he entered an intersection. As a result of the impact, our client sustained severe injuries to his head and body, including a broken arm and leg. The individual who caused the accident had policy limits of $300,000.00.

Criminal Defense Case Results

Stephen J. Eisenberg of Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. represented a Sun Prairie WI man charged in 2014 with 3 counts of child sexual assault.

Stephen J. Eisenberg of Eisenberg Law Offices, S.C. represented a Dane County resident in April, 2010, on a charge of first degree sexual assault of a child. An 8-year-old Dane County resident alleged that four years earlier, when she was barely 4 years old, that Mr. Eisenberg’s client sexually assaulted her during a sleep-over at his residence.

In January, 2010, a Columbia County jury returned a verdict of not guilty in 25 minutes in favor of a Sauk County man who was charged with reckless endangering safety for allegedly pushing an individual over a railing from eight feet above ground. There were at least eight witnesses who saw the alleged act.

A Rock County jury found a man not guilty of sexually assaulting his girlfriend after three hours of deliberation. Mark Eisenberg challenged the credibility of the complaining witness. Shortly thereafter, Rock County again charged the man with a second sexual assault in a bar. This time the jury was out less than an hour and found him not guilty.
